Leachate Treatment Plant - Borth Borth is a small leachate treatment plant in Wales. The plant is fully automated and has been in operation since 1995. Leachate flows by gravity to a below ground holding tank and is periodically pumped into the reactor tank. At set elapsed times the reactor tank aerator is stopped and the liquid allowed to settle. After an operator-set settlement period the treated top portion of liquid is pumped out to sewer. The process then begins again.
